How to Download a Twitter (X) Video on iPhone, Android and PC

Formats and quality

The downloader hands you X's own video files — nothing is re-encoded, re-compressed or watermarked.

  • MP4 files. Every download is a standard MP4 video that plays on any phone, tablet or computer.
  • Every quality the post offers. X publishes each video in several sizes — commonly 270p, 360p, 720p and 1080p, and up to 4K (2160p) for some posts. You choose from the full list.
  • One list per video. A post with several videos shows a separate quality list for each clip, so every button saves the video it belongs to.

How it works

  1. Copy the video link

    In the X app or on x.com, open the post, tap Share, then Copy link.

  2. Paste it and press Download

    Paste the link into the box above and press Download. The page lists every quality the video is available in.

  3. Pick a quality and save

    Tap a quality — for example 1080p — and the MP4 file saves straight to your device.

On iPhone

Paste the link in Safari. The MP4 saves through your browser; open the Files app and look in Downloads. You can add it to Photos from there.

On Android

Paste the link in Chrome or any browser. The file lands in your browser's Downloads folder.

On PC and Mac

Paste the link and press Download. The MP4 saves to your browser's download folder.

Questions

Can I download X videos on my iPhone?

Yes, in Safari. Copy the post link, paste it into the box on the downloader page and press Download. The MP4 saves through your browser to Downloads in the Files app.

Can I download videos from private X accounts?

No. Only public posts work.

Which quality do I get?

Pick one of the qualities the post offers if more than one is shown.

Do you store my videos?

The link is sent to our server only to look up the video's file address. The video bytes pass through our server to your device. We don’t store your videos.
